Follow this step-by-step tutorial to create your own edible face mask!

Ingredients and Preparation
- 10g (0.3oz) of aloe vera gel
- 50g (1.5oz) of cocoa powder
- 10g (0.3oz) of dried chamomile
- 50ml (1.5oz) of water
- 30g (1oz) of granulated sugar
- 10g (0.3oz) of honey
Hot Tips: Sugar is the exfoliating ingredient of this mask. Change its doses based on the sensitivity of your skin.
Instead of dried chamomile flowers, you can use chamomile tea bags.
Start by mixing the aloe vera gel and the cocoa powder together. If you have an aloe vera plant, you might want to know how to extract its gel. Now, add the honey and the sugar. Once the mixture is homogenous, put it aside for later.
Proceed by adding around 10g (0.3oz) of dried chamomile in a saucepan full of 50ml (1.5oz) of water. Bring to boiling. Let the flowers infuse until the water turns yellow. Filter the liquid and let cool.
Once the chamomile infusion is at room temperature, slowly pour it into the mixture. During this process, be sure to stir the compound and check its consistency. The ideal texture is liquid but firm.
Once the face mask is ready, put it in the fridge for a couple of hours.
Usage
Gently apply this yummy face mask on your skin. For a better application, you can use a regular paintbrush (be sure it’s clean though!). Leave it on for 10-20 minutes. While washing it off, massage your skin to exfoliate it thanks to the sugar granules.
Benefits
This Yummy Exfoliating Face Mask is extremely balanced and therefore suitable for every skin. But let’s see what these edible ingredients have to offer!
Cocoa powder softens the skin thanks to some cocoa butter residues it contains. Also, this tasty powder is antioxidant.
Aloe vera gel and chamomile are both soothing and they reduce the inflammation of skin’s impurities. Chamomile infusion specifically helps fade spots and eliminate acne scars.
Sugar is humectant, as it helps the skin maintain its moisture. Also, it pleasantly exfoliates the skin, removing old skin cells.
Like sugar, honey is humectant. Moreover, it’s antibacterial and antiseptic.
